Ian is a Partner of Henry Riley and is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. He has over 35 years' experience within the construction industry.
He manages the Peterborough office and is responsible for the operations and development of the education sector, specifically primary and secondary schools on behalf of the Riley Consulting group.
Ian's education experience extends from the construction and procurement of new build schools, college extensions and student accommodation. He works with clients such as Rutland County Council, Cambridgeshire County Council, Peterborough City Council, Huntingdon Regional College, Gonville & Caius College and Wolfson College Cambridge and various independent schools.
His other main fields of experience include the retail (food and non food), defence, pharmaceutical, industrial and commercial sectors.
In addition to this Ian gives procurement, quantum and contractual advice in respect of dispute resolution. This includes expert and joint expert witness, adjudication referral and response advice, early neutral evaluation of dispute issues and formal mediation expert advice.
