Project Description:
The project involved a 6,000 sq ft extension and refurbishment of approximately 60% of the existing clubhouse whilst the club remained in operation.
Works included:
- New casual dining room;
- Disabled lift and facilities;
- New kitchen and prep areas;
- New staff quarters;
- New visitors' changing rooms;
- Administration areas;
- Members' Lounge;
- Refurbished Walker Cup Bar;
- Major infrastructure upgrades.
Key Challenges:
- Construction in a live environment.
- Managing programme 'squeeze' to execute major works during the 'off-season'
- Negotiating contract to meet client's budget.
