Caffè Nero Group PLC - New Build and Refurbishment Programme
Caffè Nero Group Ltd was founded in 1997 and is currently the largest independent coffee retailer in the UK, with over 400 stores in the UK. They also expanded into Turkey in 2007 and the Middle East in 2008.
Their aim is to provide a European style coffee house experience offering premium espresso-based gourmet coffee, authentic Italian food products and a relaxing atmosphere in every store.
Project Description:
Caffè Nero is continuing a major expansion in the UK over the next three years, with the intention of significantly increasing their current number of outlets in town centres, shopping precincts and airports.
We are currently involved in jointly developing their expansion plan and manage a capital spend in excess of £12M per annum. We have been awarded Caffè Nero Consultant of the year award for the last two years running.
We have regenerated discounts based upon volume of work and in conjunction with the designer have value engineered certain aspects of the works to achieve optimum value to the client. We have also negotiated a reduction in the average duration of projects producing a net saving of 10% of the overall contract sum.
Caffè Nero are in the process of developing their brand and style of finishes whilst maintaining their atmosphere.
We have developed a process pack in line with the client's objectives that has enabled us to achieve savings on capital costs, reduce construction period and achieve a quality finish.
The projects are typically based on a 5 week programme with fit-outs featuring:
- Wall and floor strengthening
- New wall, floor and ceiling finishes
- Complete redecoration
- New shop front
- New staircase
- New plant room
- Specialist joinery, equipment and furniture
- Air conditioning and ventilation
- New external signage
- Extensive roof repairs
- Damp treatments
